It reminded me about my transition and how everything dropped into place perfectly. Not only did I never have to force anything, it was like magic the way everything worked out.

Then tonight was the Queer Prom (presented by The Utah Pride Center) for 14 to 20 year olds. It was absolutely amazing! It was so wonderful seeing all those young people free to themselves! Truly one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!
I was there at the Utah Women Unite table with Brenda, Tess and Ally. We all talked about how awesome it is that young LGBTQIA+ people today have a safe space to enjoy getting together, associate, dance, etc. without fear of judgment, bullying, and the like.
Brenda was saying that even in 80's nobody dared to "come out" for fear of repercussion. I agreed and commented that you certainly didn't come out in the 50's, 60's or 70's.
Anyway, they played "Telephone" by Lady Gaga on the dance floor and we discussed how "Born This Way" was kind of a "Gay Anthem". I've thought of it as kind of an anthem for myself. As I've said before: I know I was born this way and science has confirmed this fact (see my post from earlier this year on 5-Jan-2017).
However, that said, I can't say that "Born This Way" is one of my favorite Lady Gaga songs. The video is also kind of interesting:

And also interesting I also found this song from 1977 called "I Was Born This Way" by Carl Bean that is really good. Blows my mind that it was recorded 40 YEARS ago! Cool that someone made 8 and 10 minute versions of it too:

Anyway, I felt I needed to post one of my favorite Lady Gaga songs for today. And it is also relevant in that those young folks were able to not worry about acceptance tonight, that they could "Just Dance"!

P.S. I have to laugh, the line: "Where are my keys? I lost my phone!". Tess and Ally gave me a ride home and when I got to the front door I realized I didn't have my keys and I couldn't get in the house. Thankfully, I did have my phone :)
Update 3-May-2017:
I am frustrated that I didn't think of taking any pictures that night. Sometimes I am SO DUH!! I did find a couple of things on Instagram:

Hell, I can't seem to get a screenshot of the others, so just try this link:
