"Witchy Woman" by The Eagles

The overall effect of MS is that it makes me slow.  I don't have good control of my fingers, so far too often I hit the wrong keys.  Sometimes over and over and over.  I think slow.  I forget what I'm doing.  I get confused about what I'm doing.

So I've realized I'm never going to catch up on all the blog posts I started and haven't finished (as of the moment I'm writing this there are 63 draft posts).

So I've decided to just post them irght now, without photos or comments and just one link to a video and maybe someday, somehow I will find to add photos, comments and finish them.  But for now...

I swear that last year I saw a "Witches Night" page on Wikipedia that said April 30th was "Witches Night".  Now all I can find is this "Walpurgis  Night" page.   I consider myself a witch, I have been looking forward to this night for months.

I was stressing over waking Elisa up in the middle of the night (okay it was 4:30 AM) and I kept hearing the line "wake you up in the middle of the night" in my head.  But I couldn't figure out what song it was.

When SueZQ woke up I asked her and she thought about it for a minute and said it was "Hotel California" by The Eagles.  I was like yeah that line is in it, but that isn't the song.

Then it hit me that it had something to do with trains.  I finally did some Google searches and realized it was "Runaway Train" by Soul Asylum.  I posted it way back in my old blog on 11-Apr-2012.  But a song by Collective Soul also popped up in my YouTube search so I decided to post a song by them.

"Missing Teeth" by Vanity Theft

I heard this song in an episode of Girl/Girl Scene Flashback

Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girl/Girl_Scene

The Wikipedia page refers to a review talking about "lackluster acting".  I've thought the acting was a bit weak myself, but it is kind of interesting to watch.  I also have some trouble relating because it is at least 2 generations younger than me.

"The Baderie Assid Recovery Project" by Lindsay Heath

Getting groceries last night and my last stop was at Harmon's at City Creek (no bathroom incidents this time).  It was magic, I only had $15 on me and the total came to $14.91, whew!

When I was walking back to the car I thought this guy sitting by the sidewalk was going to hit me up for change and I was going to have to tell him I had just spent all my money except for 9 cents.

Instead he asked me if I could drive him to LDS Hospital.  I was like ahhhh... um, sure.  He made me a little nervous, he claimed he wasn't intoxicated but he couldn't remember the word for what he was.  He said he was a boxer and could hit really hard?

We drove past the Magdalene School where the first Rock-n-Roll Camp for Girls last year.  That always feels like sacred ground for me, every time I drive by it.

Anyway, I dropped the guy off by the emergency room entrance, parked, went inside and made sure he had gotten in there safely.  He was talking to one of the councilors, so I headed home.

When I got to The Metro it was bitter cold.  There was a tall black man on the sidewalk, he was definitely very cold and his nose was running down his face.  He asked if I could give him $3.13 for something about his sister.  That was such an odd request and he was obviously freezing, I went inside and broke the $20 paying the door charge and went back outside and gave him a $5 bill.  He thanked me, gave me a hug and headed back up 1st South.  Very strange!

Because of those delays The Rock Princess (my friend Sofia Scott) and the Shecocks were just finishing up their set.  I messaged Lindsay and they came down and got me and led me upstairs to the Green Room.  Hung out with all of them for the remainder of the evening.

"I Need a Woman to Love" by Kesha

My daughter's friend Lindsay (center)

Wendy sent me a link to this video this morning and told me that she is a friend of one of the brides (Lindsay).  She said it was a tear jerker and she was right, but it was tears of joy.  I certainly hope that the younger generations won't even have to think about being gay or transgender, it will just be everyday normal.

I love the part in the ceremony where Lindsay promises to "always find time to slow dance in the kitchen".

"Step Up" by This Picture

The problem is when I start a post and don't finish it or even make some notes, then weeks later when I'm finishing the post I quite often can't even remember why I chose that particular song that day.

I have a vague memory that I was thinking about the song that I think of as the "We Live and Die Alone" song.  The title is actually "A Violent Impression", see my post for 20-Oct-2016.  But I have no memory of the specifics.

The "lyrics" version is an alternate (12-inch?) version...

This is a really cool video cut from a movie that popped up, it has nothing to do with the song other than it has "step up" in the title:

"Painted Queens" by Lindsay Heath

In the doctor's office yesterday
I went to the doctor's office yesterday to see what has been going on with me for over 6 weeks now.  I have felt terrible for most of the last 6+ weeks and spent way to much time in bed because I felt so horrible I couldn't do anything else.

My friend Lindsay posted a couple of her videos in the "Good Vibe Tribe" message group last night.  So I did a search on YouTube this morning and found even more great music that Lindsay has created.

This song and video jumped right out at me.  Just amazing!

"On the Moon" by Jennifer Corday

"Elena Undone" DVD with flowers Mariah arranged

I never watch films over and over.  I rarely watch a movie more than once.  So this film is unique.  I watched it the first time a little over a year ago on Netflix (see my post for 22-Mar-2017).

Since we don't have Netflix anymore and I loved this film so much I bought the film on Amazon a month or so ago:

Since then I've watched it 4 times and I still find joy and love in it.  It's a quirky little movie, but I find it so much fun.  I cry throughout the film.  It would be so magical to find love like that!

And this song is also featured in the film.  I still love that I got to meet Jennifer Corday at the Utah Pride Festival last year.

"It's My Party" by Lesley Gore

Note: I am finishing this post over a year later (28-Apr-2019), this time I do remember what had happened.  I had started crying in the parking lot while I was talking to her.  I later told Sherri I was embarrassed by that.

Later I realized that having been raised as a boy and hearing that boys don't cry had been indoctrinated in me.  But I AM a fucking girl, it's my fucking party and I can fucking cry if I want to!!!

"Summertime" by Billy Vaughn and His Orchestra

I love the way they tried to sell you on the quality back in those days

I love how on these old records they were trying to sell people on how great the sound was on the record.  They had all these marketing names for their brand, like this from the inner sleeve:

"Dot Records offers the ultimate in ultra high-fidelity reproduction.  The "Dot Sound" is the most powerful, diamond-clear quality in recorded music."

"I Want a New Drug" by Huey Lewis and the News

I'm going through all the draft posts trying to post some.  These are the notes I made at the time:

roasting of heretical peeps

hair falling out
carpet too disgusting to walk on
realized I vacuuming in only panties
