From the National Geographic issue on "Women"

I was flipping through the National Geographic special issue on "Women" in the Law Office and came across the article on this transgender-woman astrophysicist.  I loved what she said: she likes to avoid using "transition" for her public outing in 2014. "I like to say I stopped pretending to be a boy".  You said it sister!  I've said many times I just stopped trying to pretend I was a boy.
