"The Bluest Blues" by Alvin Lee (feat. George Harrison)

I attended the Women's Panel at the Utah Pride Center earlier this evening.  It was inspiring!  I really enjoyed hearing their stories and the things they have done.

Marina Gomberg, Carol Gnade, Luci Malin, Sandra Hollins, Linda Hilton, Kim Pederson, ?
Update: Carol Gnade was kind enough to send me some of the names I didn't know.

Anyway I especially enjoyed Kim Pederson's story about growing up in a town in Montana where every single person in the town was important.  And when one person in the town was having difficulty, everybody in the town chipped in to help and make up the difference.  There was none of this "every man for himself" bullshit!

She was/is a lesbian and talked about when the police raided the "gay bars" in the 60's how they would beat them up and sometimes even raped the lesbians.

Anyway, I heard this song while we were cleaning up the Ladies Literary Clubhouse after the  Utah Women Unite's Show Us Your Green Gala on St. Patricks Day.

Note: Alvin Lee was of course the lead vocalist and lead guitarist of the band Ten Years After that did the song "I'd Love to Change the World", which I posted last year on 17-July-2016.

And as I noted last year, I like the song but disagree with the lyrics.  First, I love dykes and fairies.  I know many, they are wonderful.  Hell, I can identify as a dyke, here are my shirts from the b+ dyke trans poly rallies and marches from the last two years:

And I firmly believe that those greedy rich bastards should be taxed MORE!!  #FeedThePoor!!  I'm still PISSED off about the Meals on Wheels thing!! Argh!!!  I don't really give a shit if there are no rich NO MORE!!

This is a funny bit from Stephen Colbert about the #TrumpCareFail - I love this line directed at Trump's blaming it on Democrats: "... not enough votes to get a majority, well that didn't stop you from becoming president!".

And then about the Judge Jeanine thing: "Yeah, just helping out a friend. 'You shove Ryan's head in the toilet and I'll stand by the bathroom door and yell for everyone come watch!'".
