Threw out a box of old 8-inch floppy disks

The weather had really taken a toll on these old floppy disks.  I think the era of 8" floppy disks was the late 70's - early 80's.  I remember how excited we were to have like 128K bytes of random access storage, on the first single sided ones.  Then later they were double sided and double density so they stored 512K bytes.  Woo Hoo!

Anyway, SueZQ was asking what the hits were of Snow Patrol.  I said "Shut Your Eyes", but it took me a minute to remember the name of this song.  And funny I've performed this song...

I found this cassette in the garage yesterday

I bought this CD for Chrissie Hynde's advice on the back

I had one of those funny, magical little coincidences today.  Yesterday I found the cassette "X96 After Dark" shown above in the garage and brought in into the house.  I was playing it last night while I was making my bed (washed my earthing pad and sheets yesterday).  It was fun to hear Chet Tapp and Todd Nukem's banter.  The running joke that night was apparently "it sound a lot like Depeche Mode".  Mike Summers even got into the act once.

Anyway, the song that jumped out at me was this song.  I thought "I need to post it to my blog".  Then today SueZQ was loading some of our CD's into her iTunes and she hollered out to me how much she loved what Chrissie Hynde said on the back.  I was like "yeah, I bought that CD because I loved what she said on the back.

Unmasked the part of the Trans Pride Flag I have done on the passenger side

I found the little origami Lucy made, that I had in Lily.  Now it's in CeCe :)

I couldn't sleep last night, so I was digging through my bedside drawers and found the note below.  (Thankfully I also found an edible that must've fallen out of the package, that helped me sleep finally.)

The top two songs are in SueZQ's handwritting, not sure what that means.  But the Wicked World is in mine.  The songs all appear to be around 9 or 10 years ago, so I'm guessing this note was written around 2011.  Also how erratic my writing was, it was probably after MS had made my right hand numb.  I was diagnosed with MS in January 2011, due to my right hand first going numb on November 2010.

I've been watching this 3-part series on Netflix called "Don't F**k with Cats".  It's pretty fascinating.  Being a geek, nerd, etc. even more fascinating some of the tech stuff they did.  I was amazed!!!

At one point they are talking to the killer's mom and she was talking about how her son was bullied in school. She said they called him things like "gay", "pussy", "fag". I too was called all of those things and many more.  Thankfully I didn't turn out a serial killer!  In my case it turned out they were right, I was/am all of those things and oh so many more that I was called, like: "tranny" ;)

And then the weather on my phone said it's going to rain tomorrow

One of the effects of MS I have is inhaling (aspirating) liquids (often saliva) and even food all the time.  So speaking of the worst, I inhaled some syrup this morning.  It was 10 or 20 times WORSE than anything I have ever inhaled before.  I was hacking, chocking, coughing, couldn't breathe, for like 20 minutes or more.

And afterwards my throat just burned every time I inhaled.  I finally called my doctor's office, but she was out today was out today.  Her nurse advised me to go to the InstaCare.  SjeZQ drove me over there.  They had Covid-19 drive through testing set up, but it said you had to be pre-screened.  I wasn't really there for that anyway.

I had to go in, in the foyer I was given a mask and a slip of paper that had a number to call and was sent back to the truck.  I talked to someone and they said to come back in.  The doctor listened to my lungs and didn't feel I had any liquid in them.  But since I've had a mild cough they decided to test me for Covid-19.

A different doctor came in, basically in a hazmat suit and put a Q-tip up both my nostrils.  It didn't hurt really bad, but it made my eyes water.  I guess I'll know in 3 to 5 days.  :/

Anyway, I really wanted to paint the pink stripe on CeCe (the Plymouth) so I started masking it off for it.  This was absolutely THE WORST, hardest masking I've done.  The door handles were a bitch and matching the lines on the car was tricky.  The door lock was a bitch and it didn't even hold.  I going try putting tape over it and cutting around it with a razor blade???

I saw this video tonight, despite maybe being a little over dramatic, I thought this  video had A LOT of helpful / factual information about the Corona virus.

This is another song I found on the old reel-to-reel-tape (see my posts on February 2nd and 3rd).  As I mentioned before the tape is running at the wrong speed, so it is hard to get an idea of whether it is a male or female vocal.  I totally thought it would be a male vocal on this song.  But I love it!!  Kay Starr has a lovely voice!

I guess it was appropriate I was painting the red stripe on Women's Day

My legs were so extremely weak this morning, it felt like they were barely holding me up.  I was so hard to just walk.  Since both my cars were out of commission I had SueZQ drive me over to the Northwest Rec. Center so I could take a shower.  It was horrible just walking in and out of there.  I of course had to sit in the ADA shower.  The one there is not as nice as the one at the Millcreek Rec. Center, but the hot water felt so nice.  My towel slid off the rail and landed in a pool of water, so parts of my towel were soaking wet.

When I got home the fatigue was so bad I had to go to bed.  After a while the sun came out and was shining on me through the blinds.  The sun looked so nice, I started wondering how the Plymouth was looking.  I decided to get up and go outside and take a look.  The clouds had covered up the sun again by the time I got outside, but I decided to refresh the masking that the rain and wind the night before had damaged.

The wind last night blew the carpet remnant I put on the roof over on the hood

Because of the carpet the wind and rain didn't damage the masking too badly 

After laying in bed for that while my legs weren't too bad.  It had rained more after I removed the carpet remnants and messed up the masking so I had to redo it.  I did spray some more red (see top photo) from the other side of the vehicle so that the paint was more even on the air vent slots.

I guess my painting on the red stripe was my celebration of International Women's Day.  I dug around for a while in the garage looking for the CD Box sets.  And the magical thing was I found an old Playstation magazine with Twisted metal on the cover.  Which was perfect I had started making a post to fill in my old Scott's Vital Music blog.  See my Post for 23-Jun-2013.  Digging around in the garage was apparently too much and my legs were really weak the remainder of the evening.

They've used this song in the show several times, because there is a character in the show called "The Wanderer".  I have to say I am completely upset by the lyrics of this song!!!

I remember at the "Walk of No Shame" last year one of the speakers talked about how the dictionary defines a male with multiple sexual partners as a "Stud", but a female with multiple sexual partners is s "Slut".  The is ever so fucking wrong!

This is another song I found on the old reel-to-reel-tape (see my posts on February 2nd and 3rd).  I remember when I got the 45 RPM single of this song.  I was so excited!  We were still living on 36th Street in Ogden.  It was when our "stereo(?) system" was out in the back "wash" room. above the washing machine.  It was a Bendix front loading washing machine if I remember correctly.  We had a "Eico" amplifier, that it seems like the Koldiwyn (?) TV Repair shop put together... no, I think they repaired it it at some point.  Eico was a "kit" like "Heathkit" was.

We triedd to take the Plymouth out to pick up Mariah from school, but the wheel bearing started clunking, so I drove it home and got the Mazda.  The Mazda, with that racing clutch is just a nightmare in traffic.  So stressful to to drive in bad traffic!!

Brushing off the snow and removing the masking

All the stripes except the center, white stripe

As you can see it snowed this morning and pretty much ruined my masking, so I took it all off.  Removing the "Ultra Sharp" masking tore some of the red paint off.  If you look close none of it is perfect, there are a lot of blemishes :(

I still need to paint the center, white stripe.  Probably not too hard to mask it off for that.
